Hi, I’m Zach.

I am a visual designer with a passion for translating nature’s design into a human experience. Mother nature is exceptionally skilled at concealing the complexities of her design system, resulting in a world with limitless beauty.

While earning a degree in Biology I regularly synthesized data into coherent stories that focused on the big picture. My background in science and love for design dually informs my perspective throughout the creative process, which in turn has facilitated my growth as a results-driven designer.

Shortly after graduating I began working with GoDaddy as a Photo Operations Specialist. Working closely with stakeholders to further enhance the content on their website has provided insight on the tremendous impact composition building has on good design.

Inspired to learn more about digital design, I enrolled in DesignLab’s UX Academy. The academy sharpened my knowledge in UX research, design principles, visual design, UI design, and equipped me with the technical skills necessary to produce results. UX design is appealing to me because not only are you improving upon the visual design, but also the functional design and degree of usefulness of a product.
